Author Security with use case in virtual portal

2005-06-16, 2:53 am

Here is the requirement working on the virtual portal.
The scenario is : I have configured WebSphere portal with LDAP .LDap has two groups group1 and group2.So to my understanding group1 and group2 both will be the member of the authenticated users.

I have created two virtual portal vp1 and vp2 .I want to give access to vp1 only if the login id is a member of group1 .Same is the case for vp2(for group2).
This is possible if i make the resources in the "My Portal" access rights accordingly.
Use Case : when group2 member tries to login to vp1 and this will fail to authenticate .
Is there any way to do so???
To my understanding both group1 and group2 are the members of the authenticated users they will get authenticated with LDAP but wont fail.

Pls help

Thanks
