We want to validate that whether it is possible to have our own filter Servlet on the WebSphere portal mapped to j_security_check so that it acts as an interceptor for performing pre and post authentication.
Is there any way we can add the filter servlet entry in the web.xml of wps.war(deployed on WAS)??If yes,is there any sample for this??

I know we can customize the Login/Logout mechanism by extending the LoginUserAuth/LoginUserNoAuth. But here the end goal is to make a generalized pre and post authentication mechanism( Using Filter servlet) so that it can be run on WAS as well as on portal server.
