Error importing documents into PDM

I am trying to import directories with documents into PDM using the import function in the Manage Document Libraries portlet. I constantly get the same error being: "Error 99 sending the following file to the document manager server:.." The message (in a
pop-up) comes from the document manager plug-in.

There is nothing wrong with the document because when I try to import one of the documents using the import function in Manage Documents Portlet it works fine.

Can anybody help?

I am using WPS 5.1.0.1
