Author Processing of multipart/form-data request failed. Read timed out

Hi,

I developed fileupload functionality using jsp/servlets and apache commons-fileupload package and tested
the same on websphere application server 5.0 and it was working
fine.

I converted my application to ibm portlet and deployed
successfully.
But the file upload functionality doesnt work all the times.
It throws the following exection sometimes.

Exception Details:

org.apache.commons.fileupload.FileUploadException: Processing
of multipart/form-data request failed. Read timed out at
org.apache.commons.fileupload.FileUploadBase.parseRequest
(FileUploadBase.java(Compiled Code)) at
com.custupload.FileUploadPortlet.actionPerformed
(FileUploadPortlet.java(Compiled Code)) at
com.ibm.wps.pe.pc.legacy.SPIPortletInterceptorImpl.handleEvents
(SPIPortletInterceptorImpl.java:360) at
com.ibm.wps.pe.pc.legacy.invoker.impl.PortletDelegateImpl._dispat
ch(PortletDelegateImpl.java:408) at
com.ibm.wps.pe.pc.legacy.invoker.impl.PortletDelegateImpl.access
$200(PortletDelegateImpl.java:62) at

And also the portlet is working fine in the test environment on windows but while i deploy it onto portal server on aix system and test, it gives the above exception and not all the times, sometimes it do work without throwing any exception.

Can anyone tell me why this is happening only with aix machine and not on windows test environment.

Do I need to set any parameters so that the read time out doesnt occur.

Thanks in Advance,
GSR
