| Hi All,
I have installed portal 5.1.0.1 on WAS 6.0.2.9 and then upgraded the portal to 5.1.0.4, now the portal starts successfully but when I open the console url http://host:9081/wps/portal I get a 404 error page not found.
Any urgent help please.

You will need to look at, and analyse, the logs that WebSphere Portal creates. These are typically located in \WebSphere\PortalServer\log.
Ideally, I'd recommend that you (a) stop the server (b) backup and then clear the log directory and (c) start the server.
This will give you a clean set of logs to "play" with.
In addition, are you using an LDAP server for security ? If so, is it running before you start Portal ? Are you using an external RDBMS such as DB2 UDB ? If so, is the problem there ?
