Author Error on Opening Main Portal Page: "There is no content available."

2006-11-15, 7:30 pm

Hi,

I am getting "There is no content available."
"Please check if there is content defined for the markup of your client device."
This is when accessing "http://localhost:9081/wps/portal" through IE.

Does anyone know how to check the markup that the error refers to?
Also in the System Out log for Portal Server I get the following everytime I refresh the page:

[11/16/06 9:49:51:134 EST] 0000004e SystemOut O actionIDs.size() = 0

My environment is:
-Windows Server 2003
-WebSphere Application Server 6.0.2.13 (Deployment Manager)
-WebSphere Portal Server 6.1.0.4 (issue occurs before and after I install the fixpack).

One thing of note during the install;

I had to remove the nodeagent for AppSrv01 and execute startNode manually. When I left the nodeagent as a Windows Service, the install stalled when it attempted to start server1 (even though it was already running).

Also, if someone could correct me if I'm wrong here; when asked to enter an administrator for Portal, I used "wpsadmin" for both username and password.

Anyone with any thoughts on this, I'd be grateful to hear them.

Thanks

Niall
