Dear Sirs.
In WebSphere Portal 6.0 are the transient parts of portal placed under a separate folder,
on windows the folder "/ibm"
The stationary parts, which do not change, like WPS executables, and WAS executables
are placed in different folders. We place them in "/WPS" and "/WAS".
However, my understanding is that the Portal cloudscape database is placed under
"C:\6WPS\cloudscape\wpsdb".
Would it be possible to configure the location of the Portal-DB, and place it somewhere in the
transient folder, "/ibm" ??????
This would allow to make a Portal-backup just with Stop of Portal, and zipping the "/ibm" folder.
Having one sole file, of a modest size under 300 MByte,
Possibly with just flushing out the DB,and not have to do any Portal-stop att all ?????
I personally work with Themes &Skins, changing and reconfiguring these affects both the Portal-db
and the folder "/ibm". Easily restorable backups, would be of definite help.
