Author Portal test environment running but Administration Portlets show as 'unavailable'

2006-02-05, 3:24 pm

I installed the Portal 5.1 test environment and am using RAD 6.0 to develop. I 'run on server' my portal and it starts the Portal 5.1 test environment fine, and my portal shows up. However, when I select the Administration link and login, I get the Admi
n UI with the Icons down the left side. However, when I select any of the Sections (Example: Portal User Interface, Themes and Skins' The portlet opens with the message 'This portlet is unavailable'. I reviewed the install of the test environment and co
uldn't see a problem or find any instructions about additional admin portlets needing to be installed. Anyone run into this before??

Thanks!

Hi
You have to "Enable base portlets for portal administration and customization".

Open your server from the Server view and select the Portal page tab. There you will find a checkbox for the setting.
