WebSphere Portal Server - Installing WPS 5.1 on existing WAS 6.0

Installing WPS 5.1 on existing WAS 6.0

I Would like to know that can we configure WebSphere Portal Server 5.1 to use an existing Websphere Application Server 6.0 both installed on a different machine.

If yes can you please also help me with installation guide.

Read the topic "Supported application servers (required on portal machine)" in the following url.

make sure install required fixes/fixpacks before installing portal software.

WAS 6.0 is not supported for WPS 5.1. You must be on at least 5.1.0.1 to go to WAS 6.0.0.2. Also there are required fix packs for WAS 6.0....
