Not really.

There is not only one build.xml, but one for each situation.
I can't say you more, it's look like complex.
Just one thing i know,in RAD, you can add your own ant's script (build.xml) to the builders.

Select your project, click to "Project -> Properties", go to the "Builders" sectiona nd click to "New" button
