According to the this article http://www-128.ibm.com/developerwor...per/hepper.html

only JSR168 supports sharing a session across portlets. Can anyone confirm if this is true for 5.1.0.1 IBM Portlet API and why IBM would choose not to support it?

Through posts on this forum i am reading that there is a hidden unsupported shared session available:

com.ibm.wps.pb.utils.portlet.PortletUtils.getHttpSession(portletRequest.getPortletSession)

I would appreciate if anyone could give me a definitive answer.
