| I'm installing LDAP on WPS (actually WCS 2.6 / WPS 5.0.2) under RHEL4. I've installed the LDAP server, installed the admin war on WAS, configured LDAP per the instructions, and am now in the process of switching from global to LDAP security.
I fall at the first: leave Cloudscape and WAS running, stop Portal and Mail, run the config wizard, disable security, enter my WAS administrative username (10 chars) and password (14 chars)... and am greeted with the pop-up saying that my username and pas
sword combination are invalid.
If I heard this from someone else, my first response would be "You've mistyped the password, try again until it works." I've restarted WPS and mail, taken username and password from our password vault software, pasted them into the WAS admin console, and
it logs in successfully. Pasting exactly the same values from the same vault into the configuration wizard gives invalid username/password. I've also tried sundry other combinations once it became obvious that something was screwed.
Has anyone else ever seen this behaviour? Any ideas for where I should be looking would be appreciated.
