Portal 5.1 UTE Not Starting

| I'm using RSA 6.0 with the Portal 5.1 UTE. WHen I start my test server, the
console indicates things are going well and the various pieces are beign
initialized. Eventually, though, I get a dialog saying the server couldn't
be started. When I check the console, I find WebSphere claiming something
about an attempt being made to stop the server, and then everything shuts
down. I don't see any exceptions or anything else to indicate why it went
from starting to stopping outside of that one anonymous message.
Any ideas?

I removed my test server, and deleted all of the portal projects (keepign
just my portlet application's WAR probject) and then started from scratch.
The server no longer stops on its own.

| Hi Brian,
I have the same problem..how do I remove unwanted projects...and how do i know which is wanted by wps? I am tired of starting servers!

| To remove your own projects, you can right-click on a server in the Servers
view and select the "Add/Remove Projects". It will show you all projects
currently on the server and you can remove each one you don't want.
Mind you, the Portal UTE still starts a lot of other portlets (e.g.
Spreadsheetblox) that I (a) don't know what they do nor (b) if they're save
to remove.

I reinstalled my Portal 5.1 UTE.......still it does not start most of the times...It starts after about 6 attempts...this is such a pain.
Hope someone has a solution....

| As it happens, I troubleshooted a problem getting UTE 5.1 to start today - my trouble appears to have been with authentication. I right clicked on the Server line item for the Test Environment underneath Servers, and then clicked on Open. From there, I c
licked on Portal and reset my UserID/Password - after that, the UTE started just fine. Hope this helps.
