Hi Jim, 
 
Thanks for your guidence, i am able to access the PUMA SPI objects, i mapped the user groups to a Editor Role in the Resource Permission Portlet. 
 
Apart from the Editor and Administrator Role, any other Roles like Manager,Delegator,Privileged User and User are able to access the PUMA SPI objects or it is restricted to a specific Roles.
