Hi,

I am working with wps 6.0.1, I need to create virtual portals in my project.
Can anybody help me with the steps of creating the same.
I have gone through few docs from infocentre but I am very confused with the cration because nowhere the steps are given.

So any help for understanding the concept and creation of the same will be highly appreciated .

Thanks in advance.
Refer to the WebSphere Portal Version 6 Enterprise Scale Deployment Best Practices RedBook from here:
This is a good resource for instructions on how to set up virtual portals. Read the section about Multiple LDAP directory support.
Portal 6 supports different scenarios for virtual portal. You can configure the virtual portal based on requirements and/or setup.

But how can I add resources to that..
What I did :
1>create two labels and create the page hierarchy and add the portlets
2>Create two Virtual portals using the gui

But how can I map the labels with the Virtual portal instances ,I tried it using URL mapping but its not giving me any such option .. there lies my confusion ...

You have to create the VPs first, then log into each vp and create the labels and pages in each one individually. Pages are scoped to a virtual portal and are not shared across a virtual portal.
