Hi Guys,

We have implemented a portal application and is now running in production. Now we are hit with huge performance issues during the portal login. The following is the brief picture of wat is happening

1. The portal is security enabled with OpenWave LDAP.
2. LDAP has 8 group with each group having 100 users on an average.
3. When the user tries to login, the ldap operation of determing the group membership takes a lot of time . and as the no of users in the group increase the time increases.

This effectively is increasing the user login response times. Can any one suggest if there is any way to improve this operation.

groupMemberAttributeMap and groupMembershipAttributeMap : what is the purpose of these attributes. Can they be used in any way to improve performance. I refered the infocenter but could not understand much from it.

Any ideas are appreciated.

Thanks & Regards
