I am using Websphere portal 6 for web content management. I wanted to target content categories to users based on what they want to see.. I am using web content viewer portlet to render the published content. 
 
Knowing customizing portlets includes setting individual preferences for a specific portlet; for example, a user checks boxes within a portlet to indicate his or her interest in news about sports and music, do i need to customize the viwer portlet..? If
yes how..? else how do i achieve it..? any tutorials which might be helpful?
