HI all,
I was actually following the below article:
http://www.ibm.com/developerworks/w...rary/techarticl es/0612_behl/0612_behl.html

And in the "Creating links from a portlet to a portlet on a different page" section,
i was getting NullPointer at the below line
portalURLWriter.writePortletRenderURL(writer,"ibm.portal.Home.NewsPage", "ibm.portal.Home.NewsPage.NewsDisplayPortlet",params);
I checked for the portalURLWriter, writer, map objects, they r all not null, but still m i getting that null pointer exception, want to know whether the path given
"ibm.portal.Home.NewsPage", need to b changed.
I understand that this path is pointing to the page.

Any suggestions.

well are the uniquenames for the page and portlet correct? the unique name for the portlet must be for the portlet window on the page not the actual portlet. that is only settable via xmlaccess. the other thing is how did you create your param map?<br
