Author XMLAccess Deployment Question

2007-12-19, 1:25 pm

Hi all,<br />
<br />
We just changed our integration environment to use SQL Server 2000 instead of Cloudscape. However, our staging environment is still using Cloudscape. Will there be a problem attempting an xmlaccess delta deployment from the SQL Server 2000-based Portal
install in integration to the Cloudscape-based Portal install in staging?<br />
<br />
We would like to deploy to staging ASAP but want to leave some time to test out the new SQL Server based install of Portal before migrating off of Cloudscape in staging.<br />
<br />
Thanks.

While I don't know if this is an officially support scenario, I've successfully done release builder deltas from a Cloudscape backed system to portal on Microsoft SQL Server.<br />
<br />
Enjoy!

I don't think this is a problem. I have done XMLAccess exports from
Cloudscape and imported them on DB/2 successfully. The XML export does
not contain any database specifics for different databases.
