This feature is noted in a few places, but I have yet to see any good documentation or examples of usage. 
 
Which session is checked? The portlet session makes sense for portlet visibility rules, but pages don't have to contain porltets within the same portlet session. 
 
Seems strange that a page or label can have a session based visibility rule assigned when a portlet applications are not supposed to be able to touch the portal webapp's http session. 
 
Does anyone have more documentation on the subject? The stuff I've read on infocenter doesn't really help with actually using the feature.
