Use Portal Search to search Managed Web Content

| Anyone know what a proper seed URL is for this? I've tried using htt://[host]:[port]/wps/wcm/myconnect/[path] to no avail. And, after the fixpack is installed for 6.0.0.1, the WebContentCollection is gone (and can't be recreated). Thanks in advance.

| The WCM content source and seed url are generated for you when you edit a Site, set the site to be searchable, identify the collection, set the userid and password and save the Site.

| Thanks for your reply. The problem I was having was that the URL information was not being populated automatically. This was because the site wasn't set to be searchable. When you make a site searchable, you actually configure the collection that the s
ite is searchable within.
In order to setup the Managed Web Content search you have to create a collection in the Administration area without the Managed Web Content content source. Then you have to go to the WCM Authoring Portlet, make your site searchable, and configure the col
lection that it's searchable from.
You're also limited to a single collection per WCM site. The interface is a little misleading in that regard since you can add multiple content sources. If you want to search two Managed Web Content sites, you have to setup two different collections and
roll them into a service that your search will use.
