Author Problems with QuickPlace and Portal integration

Hope you can help me out here :-)

I've successfully tied WebSphere Portal 6.0.0.0, Domino 7.0.2 and QuickPlace 7.0 together. As far as I can tell, SSO via LDAP is working e.g. I can log into the portal with a Domino user, and see their mail file etc.

All appears to be (mostly) well, in that I can create QuickPlaces from within the My Lotus QuickPlaces portlet etc. and can see/manage them via a standalone browser ( http://server.domain.com:80/QuickPlace ).

I did have to do some un-natural things to Portal and Domino, as per the Information Centre: -

Portal and QuickPlace together

http://publib.boulder.ibm.com/infoc..._cfg_intro.html

However, I still see: -

Error You do not yet belong to any QuickPlaces. When you join one or more QuickPlaces, they will appear in your list.

within the portlet, even though I've created a number of QuickPlaces as this user ( wpsadmin ).

I've checked via the QP administrator, and can confirm that wpsadmin is listed as a member of the QP. I even tried adding wpsadmin to the group QuickPlaceAdministratorsSUGroup.

Any ideas ?

Is there anything else I need to do with qpconfig.xml ?

Hi

Thanks to one of our Business Partners here in the UK, I was able to get this runnning.

In essence, the problem was that, although Portal was set to use Domino via LDAP, QuickPlace was not. Therefore, I had to log into QuickPlace as Administrator, and change the security to use Domino LDAP: -

a) Choose Server Settings -> User Directory
b) Change Type from (No Directory) to LDAP Server
c) Specify the LDAP server's hostname and port

I left all other settings as default.

Having done this, I was then able to log into the portal as wpsadmin and create/manage/use QuickPlaces.
