Author Debugging applications on Portal 6

I am attempting to test and debug applications from the RAD 7 development environment on a Portal 6 server. RAD 7 does not have a Portal 6.0 test environment, so you need to test and debug on a full blown Portal server. This server can be installed on t
he developer's local workstation, but when run with RAD 7 chews up and immense amount of memory. I have had success debugging my programs on my local workstation. I would prefer to debug the application on a remote server. So we set up a server with Po
rtal on it and I'm trying to figure out what I need to do to debug the applications on it. So far I have just exported a war file from my development environment, and then go to the Portal administration to import the war file. Not very good for testing
the application. Can it be more dynamic with the remote server, so that I can deploy and debug applications with ease?

In RAD 7.0 there is only a single server type, unlike 5.1 where you had "Test environment", "Server attatch" and "WP for import...".

Check out this thread http://www-128.ibm.com/developerwor...um=168#13928378

And also the RAD 7.0 Info Center for more information "Testing and debugging portals" http://publib.boulder.ibm.com/infoc...testportal.html
