Hide a Portal Page

| Hi!
I have a situation where I've got a Portal page, and I was to hide it, but not disable it, because I want to broadcast links to it. So I want it available to use, but not visible in my side navigation bar.
The reason for this is that I have a menu that needs to return home each time the side nav bar is clicked on. But if a user has clicked on a menu item and been taken to an article page, clicking on the side nav just takes them back to viewing the article
, not the menu.
If anyone has done this and can pass on their solution, it would be much appreciated! I'm using Portal 6.0.0.1.
Thanks!

| Hi, Jen,
Portal pages under My Portal are available to the navigation model by default. If you put pages under the content root, however, they are "hidden." You can access them by giving them a unique name and using the urlGeneration tag or you can map customer
URLs to them.
Good luck,
Jaye

| Certainly, you can also use visibility rules to hidden a page. The
visibility rules can be based on date-time, user attributes, and others.
Take a look of this page:

| Thanks everyone!
All are good suggestions. The visibility rule seems to do the trick, so I think I'll use that.
Thanks heaps, I really appreciate it!

| Hi,
I have given rule to page by saying ' show page when user.group is ABCD' other wise hide.
After that the page is not all appearing .Even when the user belongs to 'ABCD' logs in , the page is not appearing.
I have tried by creating the page under Home and under contentRoot. I have given Acces permission to page..
If anyone knows to solve this issue. Please share the same to me.
Thanks
