login page crashed

| After a misconfiguration my login page isn't functioning anymore. I'm now unable to login to the portal. Is there a way to access the portal admin in a different way? So I can correct this issue?
I'm using portal v6.
Thanks.

| Hi
What did you do exactly? If you modify the jspīs I could try to send you that jsp.(If I can do that)
If that is not the case, you could try this, although I donīt know if this works.
Log in into the WebSphere application server admin console with a user that also has access to the administration panel in portal. (Assuming you can login there)
Then change the url to the WebSphere Portal. You should be already logged in.
Hope it helps.

| What happened is that I was working on themes & skins, checked the settings, hit the back button several times, restarted the server, and then only got the register new account page of portal and nothing else. I can't access the admin page of portal anymo
re to modify the login page or check the settings.

| Too many unanswered questions. Do you mean that your theme has been "damaged". Did you do a backup?
In any case, check out wpsconfig tasks and XMLAccess. The latter probably won't help you but there are some pretty powerful changes you can implement including changes relating to security.
Again, though, what exactly is it that is broken?

| Oh, then all you need to do is restore the original IBM theme.
If you don't have a copy I can send you one. Just drop it into the correct folder /thems/html and you are back in business.
If you are going to customize the theme make a copy and play away, that way you have a recovery mechanism in the form of the theme that isn't broken.
