| I am not sure if you are speaking of a free standing tool. The theme builder with which I am familiar is a component of the Rational Application Developer V7. Perhaps the plugin for this feature is available separately. RAD V7 is not available for trial
download.
I am going to check around and see if I have overlooked the component you are looking for and will post what I discover here.

| OK, I see now. I forgot (my how time flies) that there was / is a theme builder for Portal 5.1. Having said that, I cannot find where that product exists indepently of the RAD V7 tool.
Good luck!

| I installed RAD v7. Can anyone describe how to create a new theme?
thanks

|
| Go to RAD help. Search for "Creating new Portal themes". Attached is the pic. BTW, IBM Theme builder doesn't support Portal V6.

| Thanks for the info, but the software I have is called "Rational Application development" whereas the one in the attached image is "Rational Software development" and they have different help files.
Did I install the correct software or there are some Added features that I need to install?
Thanks

| You mean the software you have installed is "Rational Application Developer", is that correct. If you have portal tools installed with it then you will be able to find what I sent you.
"IBM Software Development Platform" is the base for Rational Tools ( e.g Rational Application Developer, Rational Software Architect ...). It should not matter if you have rational application developer installed with portal tools then you are good to cre
ate portal themes.

| I installed RAD with default options. I just found that by default Portal tools are not installed so I will try to install it
| |
|
| I installed the portal tools. I can see now the document to create a new theme. However when I try to create a new "portal project" I receive the attached error. Anything has to be running like Portal 6.
Thanks

| I haven't touched portal 6 themes, i believe they use JSF. Sorry.
