I was trying to enable security through LDAP. Went through the steps to disable security, set LDAP settings, and enable security as specified in the document (http://publib.boulder.ibm.com/infoc...nt.doc/wpf/cfg_
sun_wp_realm.html).

After that when i tried to start the Portal Server I get the following error.

[5/2/07 13:44:57:593 CDT] 00000014 LTPAServerObj E SECJ0369E: Authentication failed when using LTPA. The exception is WMM-UR: The user security name "wasadmin" is not found..

Any help would be greatly appreciated. I use WPS 6.0

Update so far...

I added user 'wasadmin' to LDAP and one of the errors vanished. Now i am having the below errors.

[5/3/07 9:59:59:983 CDT] 00000393 RoleBasedAuth A SECJ0305I: The role-based authorization check failed for admin-authz operation Server:getName. The user UNAUTHENTICATED (unique ID: unauthenticated) was not granted any of the following required roles:
administrator, operator, configurator, monitor.
[5/3/07 10:00:07:467 CDT] 00000457 LTPAServerObj E SECJ0369E: Authentication failed when using LTPA. The exception is [LDAP: error code 49 - 8009030C: LdapErr: DSID-0C090336, comment: AcceptSecurityContext error, data 52b, va28

Notes:

1. my log file keeps growing every 10-15 secs with the same exception. It is a persistent call which WAS/WPS is making.

2. I disabled security and enabled it again using the wizard (portalserver/config/wizard/configwizard) but still this error does not go.

3. One thing is, previously my was userid was wasadmin, and after enabling LDAP i changed the userid of WAS and WPS to be wpsadmin (just to be consistent and simple). I am able to log into the WPS and WAS Admin using the wpsadmin userid.

4. I did a file search for the word "wasadmin" in the config and wmm directory to see if there is any property which is still set to "wasadmin" but found none such occarance.

5. Any idea if i have to do any security role mapping for the enterprise application wps.war?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
