Does Websphere portal 5.0 test enviroment supports JRE 1.4?
|

| Hi,
I am having Websphere portal 5.0 test environment which is currently using JRE 1.3.1. Is it possible that it can use JRE 1.4? I have tried changing the JAVA_HOME location to J2SDK1.4(JRE 1.4), but the server is not starting up.
Can somebody guide me how do I use JRE1.4 in Websphere Portal 5.0 test environment?
Thanks,
Suman.

| I think you cannot use JRE1.3 with portal5.0 test environment. If you want to use JRE1.4 you can download portal5.1 test environment.
Thanks & Regards,

No, you cannot upgrade JRE's in WebSphere products. You need to upgrade
to a version that support the newer JRE.
