Public vs personal wires
|
|
|
| What is the difference between these two types of wires?
Why would I created one over the other?
It doesn't seem to make any difference to my application but there's got to be something.

| Hi,
"Public" is not accessible for ordinal users. Ordinal users can define "Personal" wires only. Such kind of wire is available only for the user who have define it. If you want to define a wire for all the users it has to be "Public" wire, defined by the ad
ministrator.

| That's what I thought, but the wire exists for anyone regardless of whether or not I created it as public or personal.
I've only tested it against 3 users so maybe there is something about how the users are created, or, I always create them as the admin. Maybe personal wires created by the admin are treated differently.
However; I constantly have problems with WebSphere Portal Server 6 in my RSA 7 so it's actually more likely that my server isn't working properly.
Thanks for your reply
