how to change the position of portlets in a page?

Hello,
I am trying to reduce the top margin a portlet( the empty space above the portlet) and the space between portlets in a page. I tried to change the
style_theme and some other style files. No success. Anyone has advise?

I think you are facing the similar problem as mine. Kindly refer to the topic "Gap Between Portlet" (http://www-128.ibm.com/developerwor...ad=164930&cat=9)

The method does work for my side.

Take a look into the Skin of the portlet. There are Tables (dropping zones) which you can remove if you dont need the dnd feature.
