Hi: I have some problem with my portlet session timeout.

When my portlet's session times out, with Siteminder plug-in active for single-signon, I suppose Siteminder plug-in passes down a session instance to my portlet. But this new session wouldn't have any attributes registered into my expired session and this
is causing some problem.
Is there a way that I always request a session from Siteminder plugin so that I could store some data into it to avoid problem of local session timeout??
I welcome any solution around this. Thank you.
