Authoring template permissions

Hi,

In WCM I have two groups of users inside the group wcmadmins: translators_1 and translators_2. I want to allow translators_1 to read/write some fields of the content created with an authoring template, and to allow them to read (but not write) some of the
fields created with the same authoring template.

How can I do that?

I've tried doing that by editing the authoring template and going throughout the option "Default Content Settings", but it doesn't seem to work.
