Inheriting portlet permissions

| Under Portal 6, most pre-installed user portlets like My Weather inherit "all authenticated users" into the Priviledged User role.
However, although "Allow inheritance" is checked after installing our own portlets, no users or groups get inherited except for those in the Administrator role.
Is there a way to give groups or users a role for all portlets automatically, without having to add them to the wpsadmins group? e.g. I upload a new portlet, and this group automatically gets Privileged User access to it unless I turn inheritance off for
the portlet.
Thanks

| You can try to put the user/group into the corresponding access role in
the virtual resource "portlet applications". However, you have to be
aware that this would mean the user/group is in the role for all of your
portlets in portal. For example, if you put the "anonymous user group"
into the "User" role of virtual resource "portlet applications", then
all anonymous users would have access to the portlets.
If you like to read more about (virtual) resources in portal, have a
