Author error when install portlet

Hi all,

When I tried to install/update portlets on WPS 4.1.3, I got the following
error in wps_date.log:

2003.10.22 14:53:20.103 org.apache.jetspeed.portletcontainer.PortletLogImpl
error(String, Throwable)
:::: InstallPortlet.doLocalWARSelect:
GetPortletApplicationInfoCommand:Command
FailedException: Error with using
WSCP Module list -constraint {{ContextRoot /wps}} Reason = RemoteException
occurred in server thread; nested exception is:
java.rmi.RemoteException: ; nested exception is:
javax.transaction.TransactionRolledbackException: CORBA
TRANSACTION_ROLLEDBACK 0 No; nested exception is:
org.omg.CORBA.TRANSACTION_ROLLEDBACK:
com.ibm.websphere.csi.CSITransactionRolledbackException: null; nested
exception is:

It happened for all the portlets I tried to install. The same portlets I
installed before without any problems.

Any clue?

Thanks

JJ,
are there any other exceptions in the log file? When you installed a
portlet once, you cannot just install it again. You would have to update
the porltet if you want to get a new version deployed.

You said you were able to install the portlets. What did chance since
then? Any config settings changed?

Hi Oliver,

I couldn't find other clues in other log files.

What happened is:
I installed a portlet once. Then I updated the war file and tried to update
the portlet on the portal server. It failed. So I uninstalled the original
one and tried to install it again, failed too. And got the exceptions in the
previous email. And then I tried other portlet, which even comes out of
box - reminder, it failed with same exception...

Any suggestion to recover the portal server would be appreciate.

Thanks.

Was there ever a resolution to this problem? <br />
<br />
I tried updating the reminder portlet on Portal 5.0.2 but the update did not reflect in the portlets so I uninstalled the portlet and tried to reinstall the portlet from the updated copy (modified sept 19, 2007) I downloaded from the IBM website but it ne
ver installs (no error message on the screen, it just goes back to the install portlet page where I began)<br />
<br />
thanks<br />
Katherine
