Author ND 4 Error: Nonforwarding address is not valid

I am running ND 4.0.2.9 on a RISC C20 with 240meg RAM, running aix 4.3.3
and java130 at 1.3.0.14

Currently my default.cfg file is empty and there are no goScripts.

I issue "ndserver start"

Then I issue "ndcontrol executor start" and it reports:
"Loaded kernel successfully".

Then I issue "ndcontrol status" and it reports:
Executor has been started.
Manager has not been started.

Then I issue "ndcontrol executor status" and it reports nothing.

Then I issue "ndcontrol executor set nfa 9.1.2.3" and it reports:
Error: Nonforwarding address is not valid

But I can ping 9.1.2.3 successfully.

Why is the "ndcontrol executor set nfa 9.1.2.3" command failing?
Why does the "ndcontrol executor status" command return nothing?

Thanks......Paul

Paul,

If the 'executor status' command is coming back with nothing, then
ndserver either didn't start the executor successfully (eventhough it
may say it did) or it just can't communicate with it. We're up to ND
4.0.2.29 so you may want to download that build and give it a try, or
contact Support with what you're at now.

Jeff
