I have installed the IBM WebSphere Application Server Version 5: Edge
Components for Windows 2000 and I am trying to configure the edge
server to balance a couple of HTTP servers. I am able to add the
cluster and add the port but when I attempt to add the server I
receive the following message:
"Error: Router address not specified or not valid for port
method"

What does this mean and why won't it work?

I performed the exact same steps on V3.0 and it worked just fine.

If the server is not on the same subnet as the dispatcher, you'll get
this message. For MAC port forwarding, the backend servers need to be on
the same subnet. If they are not on the same subnet, you'll want to use
CBR or NAT forwarding.
