Edge for failover & process monitoring
|
|
|
| New to Edge Server and have been reading all the documentation I can find. I
understand the idea of the executer, manager and advisor.
It's pretty clear on how the advisors can connect on various ports to
establish if a server is 'up' but is there the ability to monitor processes
on a server to use these as a trigger for failover?
Any advice, thoughts, comments please!
many thanks,

| Al,
You'll want to look into the metricserver functionality. The
metricserver agents run on the servers themselves and run any script you
create locally. So they can check local memory/cpu usage numbers,
whether certain other applications are running, etc, and provide that
data back to the manager for server weight consideration.
