It would still be used for 2.2.x, right? I think some architectures are
still using 2.2 kernels.

I talked to Rudy Godoy two weeks ago. He is willing to maintain usbmgr
and I've agreed to sponsor him. He was working on fixing #175847 and he
said he'd let me know when it was fixed. I sent him a ping yesterday.

I doubt any of them supports USB.

Hi, I've asked the same question (or almost same kind) on -mentors.
Yes I'm willing to mantain it since I still use it on two machines (i386 and
ppc). Now, I believe that even it gets deprecated by hotplug, and it's no
so popular it could be put as an option for those who want it (as we have
many MTA's).
I'm going to merge Joerg changes with my previous work, I think I'll
have news for #175847 this weekend.
regards,
Rudy
