I forgot to mention in previous messages: there is an _excellent_
project going on right now to provide a faceted classification scheme
for Debian packages. It's called debtags:

http://deb-usability.alioth.debian.org/debtags/

I heartily recommend it for people interested in making Debian
package-querying tools more informative.

I also think this project could greatly enhance the user's experience
but it seems that the database of packages at
http://debian.vitavonni.de/packagebrowser/ (which is referenced from
http://deb-usability.alioth.debian.org/debtags/) has not been updated
for a while. At least since February 4, 2004...

Does anyone know what is happening?

Thanks.
