It is architecture independent. The only thing it requires is a 2.4
linux kernel >= 2.4.23 or preferably a 2.6 kernel >= 2.6.6. The package
is not well-tested on 2.4 but it shouldn't break a lot.

For those who are interested, a preliminary package can be downloaded
at:

Feedback is, of course, welcome. Slightly offtopic: I'm looking for a
sponsor for this package, preferably one who owns a laptop which runs a
>= 2.6.6 kernel and which has working ACPI. To those who read this, if

you're willing to sponsor, please contact me.
