Is anyone working on this? It's required with recent
2.6 qos additions, at least.

If no one already started with creating a deb, I could do this job.
Shouldn't be too difficult for a NM applicant .

it is the iproute package.

http://packages.qa.debian.org/i/iproute.html

I think there is no fork, but only more recent versions, so I guess Juan
will track those new versions. As requested in
http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=262698

Greetings
