I suspect the thinking is more along the lines that a moronic
configuration tool is better than no configuration tool.

I agree it shouldn't make it into a stable release...

The main problem with these things is there is no agreement between
distros about common stuff such as storage of network preferences, and
these tools are usually designed to be cross distro compatible. It will be
nice to have it in the archive though... it may attract hackers to the
cause. Even if it only half works for me, it is still usable.
