I'm not sure I agree with that.
For people doing professional publishing, I think they'll be using
commercial typefaces from Adobe, Monotype, AGFA and the like.
People doing amateur stuff can easily pick up a $5 CD set with more
typefaces than we really want to put in Debian.
As long as there's an easy way to install user-supplied fonts (easy
being the operative word here) I don't see a need to pile them in the
distribution.
