I learned geography in school. There is also a third ``continent''
called Central America. It acts as a land bridge between North and
South. At least until the Panama Canal was completed.

Central America includes countries such as Belize, Costa Rica, El
Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua, and Panama.

I still stand by ``If you are from the Americas, you are American.''
Period. You can claim all that you want otherwise; few will actually
argue with you. You can also claim that the sky is blue, and few will
argue with that. That does not make you correct[1].

Shall we discuss Eurasia?

Differentiating between the Americas is, of course, more precise than
lumping them all together.

To claim that you are American is to make only one claim:
you are from the Americas. Sad truth is, only one group commonly makes
that claim, and it is those from the United States of America.

If you want to argue geography, or my lack of knowledge thereof, this is
also not the place.

I believe that I have made my point clearly enough. If you want to argue
the colour of the sky with me or the significance of Eurasia vs Europe
and Asia, please take it off-list. Thank you.
