The method isn't integrated into the DAK nor into apt.

You can download the scripts to update Packages per diff from

http://ftp-master.debian.org/~ajt/apt-qupdate
http://ftp-master.debian.org/~ajt/untiffani

The ed scripts itself are provided by Andreas Barth currently on
(defined in apt-qupdate)
