Package: wnpp
Severity: wishlist
Owner: Steffen Joeris <steffen.joeris@skolelinux.de>

* Package name : marble
Version : 0.2
Upstream Author : Torsten Rahn <rahn@kde.org>
* URL : svn://anonsvn.kde.org/home/kde/trunk/playground/base/marble
* License : LGPL and mostly public domain for data
Programming Lang: C++
Description : geographical earth map widget

It shows the earth as a sphere but doesn't make use of any hardware
acceleration (NO OpenGL). So although it might look similar to
professional applications like Google Earth or Nasa World Wind
it's rather meant to be a small light weight multi purpose widget for KDE.

Upstream will probably bring out the first official release next week.
