I am proud to announce the availability of a Biztalk monitoring tool. This
is the result of great group collaboration between PSS and the Product
Group in trying to meet one of our Premier customer’s requirements. This
tool reflects our on-going commitment to customer’s satisfaction,
specifically in this case EMI Music.



Special thanks to Rick Caudle who wrote the tool and special thanks to Jean
and Lee who provided the technical guidance and John Wyss who provided
leadership and clear direction!

What it does:
The BizTalk Server 2004 Health Monitor tool is a Microsoft Windows® service
that is designed to monitor application hosts for active messages based on
conditions that are set in the configuration file. The user can specify how
long (in hours) messages can be active and how many messages can be active
before the tool reports a warning and logs data to a log file. The user
also sets the interval time (in minutes) at which the tool should check for
messages that meet these conditions.



The purpose of the tool is to help identify messages that are active for a
period of time, therefore potentially identifying an unhealthy application
host.
