I've built my website and have uploaded it to my free web space. However, n
o
matter what I do (have followed a lot of instruction), I can't get the submi
t
button on my Form to work (sending results via email). I've spoken with NTL
several times but have yet to receive a knowledgable answer. Can anyone tel
l
me whether NTL's server is configured to send email in this way?

Does NTL have server extensions installed?
Did you FTP the web, or publish to an http:// address?

Webs containing FrontPage forms *must* be http published to a server
running the FrontPage extensions.

What error messages do you get (if any)?

Yes, its being posted to a http address. First and foremost the error
message I receive in FrontPage itself is 'This form cannot be configured to
send results via e-mail. The web site may be located at a disk-based
location, or on a server that has not been confgured to send mail. Contact
your system administrator or Internet service provider for more information'
.

The server the web is hosted on must have SMTP service running, also the roo
t web must be configured in the server extensions to send to a trusted mail
server (one that will accept messages from the web server). The problem is
probably with your hosting company not your web.

That error message usually applies to any FP form on a disc-based web,
before you publish. When you publish to a server with extensions
installed and running, the message generated on the live site will
either change (if there is an error, or the email transport has not
been configured) or disappear altogether.
