Hi

I run a website on four webservers (windows2000, SP1, IIS5.0). I use
an ISAPI appl to connect to an RS/6000. The ISAPI app is written bij
Magic (http://www.magicsoftware.com) (Magic Internet Requesters 8.3)

Sometimes the server just halts. Connections build up, CPU load is 0%
website gives "Server too busy" error. We can do nothing about except
restart IIS or even OS.

Last night i was checking the server at the console and I got an popup
window. (screenshot: http://www.xs4all.nl/~ok/screenshot.gif ). When i
clicked OK the server resumed like normal? (MGrqhttp.dll is the name
of the ISAPI app)

How can an ISAPI app have an popup-window? Can i turn it off?

Thanks

Sincerely,

OLAF

Really WEIRD... This looks like a call to a netscape *user mode* application API. So the builders might have mixed the NSAPI (netscape api) with some client DLL that coud pop-up a box, and of course! block IIS. To temporarily fix, there is a registry setting in NT that allows the automatic close of dialog boxes (using a timeout setting) I believe.

Hello,

You can de-select allow service to interact with desktop if you do not want
the pop-up.

Ali,

Would that also apply to ASP .NET popups ?

I'm not sure that type of popup can be stopped by deselecting "Allow
service to interact with desktop". Besides, having it not checked is the
default for the IIS Admin service so it should already not be set.

For that error, I'd try doing a regsvr32 on MGrqhttp.dll to see if that
fixes it. Otherwise, you'd need to contact Magic for support.

Hope this helps!
