After applying Windows 2003 SP1, we are no longer able to do SDO import/expo
rt:

Here is the error:
--------------------------------------------
Error: 5001
Description: The system cannot find the path specified. (3)
Severity: 5
Source: Source: (ISOK File nrxmlproxy.cpp, Line 143)
 c:\depotcms\cmsmain\private\cms\server\a
ebinfiler\aebinfile.cpp 187

Debug info: C:\PROGRA~1\Microsoft Content Management
Server\Server\Temp\sdupload.sdo
Extra info:
Client Source: CImProgress::ProcessPackage
Recommended Action:
--------------------------------------------

Just in case, I've added all the following to the list of Data Execution
Prevention:

NRClient.exe,
NRProgress.exe,
WebControl.exe,
ProfileStager.exe,
StagingServerAdmin.exe,
AESecurityService.exe,
GenStagingScript.exe,
managekey.exe,
migrate.exe,
NRDCApplication.exe,

Unfortunately, doing this still did not fix the issue.

So, is there a fix available for download for this problem?

Hi Alper,

please check if the temp directory listed below exists or not.
I have seen this issue when someone "accidently" deletes the TEMP directory
in the MCMS server installation directory.

Cheers,
Stefan

Hi Alper,

the SP1 installation will not remove this directory.
If it is SP1a it could remove it as SP1a is actually an uninstall and
reinstall.

What do you mean that "windows authentication is no longer working"?
Do you mean that users cannot login any more?
Please explain.

Cheers,
Stefan

Hi Stefan, thanks for your response again.

To describe what happens is; when we are on Integrated Windows
Authentication, the small login window pops up for authentication and it
relentlessly keeps popping back up even after entering correct credentials.
This crazy cycle seems to go on until the page in the background loads
completely. It almost looks like if it is trying to authenticate for every
piece of image that is rendering on the page in browser.

So, I'm not sure whether or not the integrated authentication is actually
working correctly. I do have administrative access (OS as well as CMS) to
that box and it is doing it for my account as well as all other authoring
accounts that use to work before, prior to SP1.

Thanks Stefan!

Hi Alper,

please verify in the IIS log which items cause these 401 response.

Cheers,
